The International Symposia on Cultural Diplomacy 2016

The International Symposia on Cultural Diplomacy is a 10-year project taking place from 2008-2017 and is conducted by the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy in cooperation with global governance organizations, national governments, international corporations and leading academic institutions. The project is focused on the development and the promotion of the field of cultural diplomacy and its relations with the areas of international relations & economics, globalization, global governance, human rights, arts and culture.

Over the years the Symposia has become the world’s largest event series in the field of cultural diplomacy. So far the Symposia included annual meetings (which held in the years 2008-20145) as well as over 250 events and youth programs, which led to the establishment of the first graduate and other academic programs in the field of cultural diplomacy as well as its recognition as an accredited academic field. The 9th Symposia will explore, analyze and develop best practices & future strategies for applied cultural diplomacy in order to be used to strengthen relations between states & communities and contribute to a more just and harmonic relations between societies. The 9th Symposia will take place in 2016 and will include large scale events that will take place in different major capital cities around the world throughout the months of April-October, 2016.

Participation in the Symposia is open to governmental & diplomatic officials, academics, artists, journalists, civil society practitioners, private sector representatives, young professionals and students.

Symposia Speakers

Speakers & Delegates during the conferences will include leading politicians, senior diplomats, leading governmental officials, senior academics, renowned authors, journalists, and celebrated artists.
