The 2015 Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy aims to present all practices that the field of cultural diplomacy has to offer to the international community for their application to try to remedy and solve growing global challenges. The conference will bring together leading politicians, religious leaders, senior academics and celebrated artists together with representatives from areas of conflict in order to establish new institutions and initiatives that will help with these challenges using the practice of cultural diplomacy together with other practices and means. The International Symposia on Cultural Diplomacy 2015 »
"The 70th Anniversary of the End of WW2 and the Establishment of the UN: Developing Initiatives to Promote Cultural Understanding, Global Human Rights & World Peace"

(Berlin, London, New York, Thessaloniki; May - October, 2015)

The International Symposia on Cultural Diplomacy is a 10-year project taking place from 2008-2017 focusing on the development and promotion of the field of cultural diplomacy and conducted by the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy in cooperation with global governance organizations, national governments, international corporations and leading academic institutions. The 8th Symposia will take place in 2015 and will include large scale events that will take place in different major capital cities around the world throughout the months of May-October, 2015. "The 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the UN: Developing Initiatives to Promote Cultural Understanding, Global Human Rights & World Peace"

(New York City; September 21st - 26th, 2015 - Held Parallel to the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly)

In an age of growing international instability, many questions are being posed about the responsibility and the role of the United Nations in today’s interdependent world. This Symposium will take the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the UN to bring an international and interdisciplinary group of practitioners of cultural diplomacy together with high level global governance representatives in order to analyze and to develop new initiatives to promote cultural understanding, global human rights & world peace within the UN. The Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy & Religion will aim to foster mutual understanding through interfaith dialogue in the spirit of securing a more peaceful and stable world. This momentous occasion will spotlight the significance of religious exchange through open dialogue and peaceful accord in the hopes of finding a common ground that unites rather than unbinds the world religions. In reimagining the role of religion as a tool for global peace and stability, the Symposium will see delegates from various disciplines, which will engage in discussions where the opportunity to hear their various impressions and thoughts on the issues and the strategies they think are viable to resolve systemic problems in order to achieve lasting peace will be presented. The Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy is the world’s leading event within its field and traditionally hosted and organized by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy and other leading organisations from around the world at the end of the calendar year. The 2014 conference is titled “World Without Walls” to emphasize the great changes that took place in the wake of the fall of the Berlin Wall and to symbolize the many political, economic and cultural walls that still exist in today’s society.
