Symposium Overview
Croatia and the Southeast Europe Region are privileged to have one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse populations in the world, and therefore have a unique opportunity to create and implement cultural diplomacy based strategies that strengthen cross-cultural relationships. Serving as a melting pot of cultures, the Southeast Europe Region can use its cultural diversity as a resource to improve international relations and thus create real lasting benefits to its political, economic and cultural sectors.
The Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in the Balkan Region will gather a broad range of stakeholders to discuss the historical examples, the best practices and the future applications of cultural diplomacy in multi-lateral and bi-lateral relations in the Balkan region. Upon its conclusion, the Symposium will publish a report based on the speeches and suggestions from all speakers and delegates, which will be delivered to the international community.
