Prof. Dr. Dragan Domazet

Biographie

Prof. Domazet is a professor, rector and the founder of the Belgrade Metropolitan University. He was the Minister for Science, Technology and Development in the Government of Serbia between 2001 and 2004 and worked on the creation of a policy in education, research and innovation. He was one of the experts who helped to prepare the new Serbian education strategy (in 2011 till 2012) and coordinated the team of experts who developed the segment of the strategy on higher education. Since 2012 he has been an member of the Scientific Council of UNESCO.

Prof. Dr. Domazet earned his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Niš in Yugoslavia. At the same university he did his PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Prof. Dr. Domazet has been the peer reviewer of FP7 projects and worked for 7 years in Singapore for the Gintic Institute of Manufacturing Technology (now Simtec). In addition, he taught at Nayang Technological University in Singapore. He was a Fulllbright Fellow in 1990 and 1991 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA), doing research in Artificial Intelligence and knowledge-based systems. His current research interests are in the area of adaptive and personalized e-learning.
