"Burkina Faso to the Test of Climate Change"
A Lecture by Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Germany, H.E. Amb. Marie Odile Bonkoungou-Balima
The Berlin International Economics Congress 2013
(Berlin; March 6th - 10th, 2013)
“Climate change is a global challenge and it is very important to know what changes to developing countries will be seen due to the fatal consequences of the variable climate. For example, Burkina-Faso landlocked in the middle of West Africa has had to deal with the problems of climate change since the 1970s. Burkina Faso is a rich country, not in terms of gold, oil or diamonds, but in terms of cultural ideas, hospitality and peace. The most valuable point about Burkina Faso are its women and men.”
