Biography

Mr. Csaba Sándor Tabajdi is currently serving in the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament. In 2009, where he took up the post of the Chair of the delegation of the Hungarian MSZP party. He was a member of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament since Hungary’s ascension in 2004, and an observer the year before.

After receiving his degree in Economics in 1974, he became a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1974-1983) and Cultural affairs attaché at Moscow embassy (1975-1981). He was the deputy leader of the Central Committee of the Hungarian Socialist Workers Party (1983-1989). After this he turned more towards integration policy, and held many offices before becoming Member of the European Parliament.

His most recent publication is In Support of Europe’s Minorities - Pro Minoritate Europae (2009).
