Introduction
Romania is an important country in Europe also due to its location at the cultural intersection between the East and West. Romania’s history has been defined in a sense by cultural diplomacy which has enabled the country to achieve the diverse ethnic identity it has today, through the integration of traditions of different ethnicities together with the impacts left by its various controlling powers, to generate the Romanian identity we know today.
The International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in Romania will address important issues related to cultural diplomacy in the region, with a specific focus on higher education in the field of cultural diplomacy. Higher Education has proven to be one of the most significant vehicles for cultural diplomacy for centuries and it has enabled generations of students across the world to benefit from international experiences in the framework of educational exchange programs and studying abroad as well to academically learn the necessary tools needed in order to apply cultural diplomacy.

The International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in Romania will take place in Bucharest at a number of important political, historic, and cultural locations across the city.

Speakers and delegates during the symposium will include leading politicians, chief diplomats, leading governmental officials, senior academics, renowned authors, journalists, and celebrated artists. Participation in the conference is open to governmental & diplomatic officials, academics, artists, journalists, civil society practitioners, private sector representatives, young professionals and students as well as other interested individuals from across the world.

Certificate of Attendance - All conference participants will be awarded an official certificate of attendance upon completion of the program, which will provide details of the speakers who took part and the topics discussed. Each certificate will be signed by members of the Conference Committee.
Participant Papers »
The Conference Committee encourages academic research and analysis of issues related to the goals of the Conference. The Conference Committee would therefore like to welcome the participants of the conference to submit a paper they would like to be considered for presentation at the conference as well as being included in the proposal document that will be issued following the conference and will be sent to all governments and leaders of the international community worldwide.
