Overcoming Barriers in a Diverse Society: Germany’s Next Generation

German-Turkish Week 2009 is an event series taking place in the Amerika Haus Berlin that aims to raise awareness amongst the public of the history of the German-Turkish Community and its contributions to German society, while celebrating the richness of German-Turkish culture. All events will take place in German and are free for the general public to attend. No registration is required.
“Overcoming barriers in a Diverse Society” will focus on the challenges ahead for the German-Turkish Community, with a particular emphasis on the younger generation. The program will include a youth workshop and break dance performance, a panel discussion, a live concert, and a music afterparty. Traditional Turkish food will be available throughout the evening.
