Nazmi Kavasoğlu

Nazmi Kavasoğlu is a Turkish author and journalist who has significantly contributed to the media of Germany for more than 30 years. His efforts during the merging process of the two German Social Democrat Parties after the fall of the Berlin Wall have been awarded with an order of merit. He worked as the editor-in-chief and executive director of two German-Turkish newspapers. Being the author of three books that later became textbooks in schools, Kavasoğlu is the most published Turkish author and journalist in Germany. He taught journalism, international relations and lobbying at universities and academies such as AFW, FAW, MIK and Bildungsinstitut der Presse. He also guided the German Private Television General Management in preparing a concept for the private media in the early 1980s.
