H.E. Amb. Tolendy Makeyev

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany

Ambassador Tolendy K. Makeyev is the ambassadorial representative for the Kyrgyz Republic in Berlin. He studied and completed a degree in German Studies at the Kyrgyz State University and later, in 1992, he completed a course in studies for young diplomats administered by the German Foreign Office in Berlin. Fluent in both English and German, Ambassador Tolendy Makeyev has served in various diplomatic positions including the position of Envoy at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Bonn between 1995 and 1996.

2001 saw him take the position of Embassy Counsellor in Berlin, a role which he stayed in for three years. Upon completion of the role he acquired the position of Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic in November 2005. This experience, established him for his current position of Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Berlin where he has played a key role in the relations between Germany and Kyrgyzstan.
