H.E. Amb. Ken Nyauncho Osinde

Ambassador Ken Nyauncho Osinde was born on August 18, 1962 in Kenya. He is a Kenyan diplomat. He holds an M.A. degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. After many years in academia as a lecturer, he took up the post of manager at the National Bank of Kenya, where he rose to the position of Head of the Strategic Planning Group.

Until recently, he played a leading role in his country’s insurance industry and on April 2010 President Mwai Kibaki announced the appointment of Osindes as the new ambassador to Germany and he took part on the inauguration of the first direct flight from Mumbasa to Berlin by Air Berlin. He is also accredited to Bulgaria and Romania and speaks English, Kiswahili, and Kisii.
