Introduction

 The Forum on Democracy & Peace will be held in Potsdam and Berlin from October 1st to 4th, 2025. The Forum will provide a welcoming and neutral platform to explore new ideas and promote the advancement of Development, Democracy and Peace.With a rich programme of lectures, discussions, debates, and cultural activities, the Forum will focus on the theme: “Advancing Development, Democracy & Peace Around the World.”

The event will bring together leading voices from international politics and academia, alongside diplomats, policymakers, scholars, and young professionals. At the heart of the Forum’s approach is the commitment to inspire fresh thinking, to connect perspectives that rarely meet, and to spark creative and original ideas. The Forum values interaction and dialogue, encouraging exchanges during both the official sessions and the informal gatherings among participants.

This forum is held in the frame work of the World Forum on Democracy & Peace (2022-7), which is a 5-year project that is conducted by the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy in cooperation with global governance organisations, with the main aim to use the application of cultural diplomacy in order to improve international relations.

Locations

Based in Potsdam & Berlin, the conference will be hosted at ICD House and in a number of important political, historic, and cultural locations across the city.

Speakers & Delegates

Participation in the conference is open to governmental & diplomatic officials, academics, economists, representatives of the Business sector, artists, journalists, civil society practitioners, representatives of the Business sector, young professionals as well as other interested individuals from across the world.

Certificate of Attendance - All conference participants will be awarded an official certificate of attendance upon completion of the program, which will provide details of the speakers who took part and the topics discussed.

The Conference Committee encourages academic research and analysis of issues related to the goals of the Conference. The Conference Committee would therefore like to welcome the participants of the conference to submit a paper they would like to be considered for presentation at the conference as well as being included in the proposal document that will be issued following the conference and will be sent to all governments and leaders of the international community worldwide.
