Cultural Diplomacy Research
Overview
About
Cultural Diplomacy Research (CDR) is a programme of the ICD Academy for Cultural Diplomacy, comprising a range of components dedicated to analysing and interpreting the key challenges facing culture and society in the contemporary era.
As the field continues to develop, further research into the role and potential of cultural diplomacy becomes increasingly important. CDR therefore seeks to deepen and refine current understanding of cultural diplomacy, as well as the methods through which it may be effectively implemented.
By providing a well-informed academic resource that presents a diverse and up-to-date range of examples, CDR aims to broaden access to the field and support its continued development. It further seeks to demonstrate the practical value of cultural diplomacy as a credible policy instrument for conflict resolution and for strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in circumstances where traditional diplomatic approaches prove insufficient.
