The
Cultural Bridges and Chasms Produced by Globalization
The
goal of our three HPN conferences in 2002 (in Berlin, Paris, and
New York City) was to introduce the framework of our analysis and
dialogue. Within this framework, the representative group of high-caliber
business and political leaders, academics, and those working directly
in the "cultural arena" (for example film directors) provided
an overview, as well an analysis of the major topics of debate.
The Berlin conference served as a conceptual springboard for the
"case-study" on "The role of culture in the French-American
dialogue in the twentieth century."
