Education, Immigration and new Career Paths: An Information Event for School Children in Berlin

Tuesday, 9th June (11:00 – 13:00), German Foreign Office

German-Turkish Week 2009 is an event series taking that aims to raise awareness amongst the public of the history of the German-Turkish Community and its contributions to German society, while celebrating the richness of German-Turkish culture. The event will take place at the German Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt, Werderscher Markt 1, 10117 Berlin).

“Education, Immigration, and new Career Paths” is an information event for Berlin students attending the Otto-Hahn-Oberschule in Neukölln and the Bildungswerk Kreuzberg. Hosted by the German Foreign Office, the event aims to inform the pupils of the opportunities open to them here in Germany. German diplomats and pedagogic experts will offer perspectives on careers in international relations and provide advice on education and the job market of the future. The event will also include a presentation on the work of the Foreign Office and the Ernst Reuter Initiative, and provide opportunities for the pupils to ask questions and raise issues they feel are important.
