Cultural Contributions of the German-Turkish Community

German-Turkish Week 2009 is an event series taking place at the Amerika Haus Berlin that aims to raise awareness amongst the public of the history of the German-Turkish Community and its contributions to German society, while celebrating the richness of German-Turkish culture. All events will take place in German and are free for the general public to attend. No registration is required.

“Cultural Contributions of the German-Turkish Community” will look at the depth and breadth of the cultural influence of the German-Turkish community in German society today. The event will allow the public to hear a range of perspectives on German-Turkish culture from artists and Community representatives. The program for the evening will begin with a literary reading, followed by a panel discussion and party. Traditional Turkish cuisine will be available throughout the evening.
