The Luxemburg Agreement

The Luxemburg Agreement, in which Germany accepts responsibility for the Nazi’s genocide of European Jews and pays the state of Israel 3.5 billion Deutschmarks in reparations, is signed. However, Israelis protest against accepting ‘blood money’ from Germany, and only a small majority of the German Parliament ratify the Agreement.
